Minnie Ball Haering 1877 - 1958

Minnie Mae Ball was born July 10, 1877, at
Strawberry Point, the daughter of James Ball and
Catherine White. The family moved to Oelwein in
1896.
November 26, 1902, Minnie Ball married Charles
L. Haering, a plastering contractor. They were
married in the Baptist parsonage with the Rev.
Toothacher officiating. No children were born to
this union.
July 26, 1902 Mrs. Haering was baptised and
confirmed in the Zion Lutheran Church of Oelwein,
Iowa, the Rev. J. G. Zielinger, pastor.
Her husband, Charles preceded her in death
October 25, 1947. Also three sisters, two brothers
and both parents.
Mrs. Haering's health began failing steadily in the
spring of 1958. For the past five weeks she was a
patient at the Woodlawn Convalescent Home,
Waterloo. She died at 8 pm, August 5.
Funeral services were held at Zion Lutheran church
August 8. Interment was made at Woodlawn
cemetery.
