GLUCK

Martin Gluck ended his life at his
home 201 Four and a Half street W.
this (Wednesday) afternoon at 12:30
by the use of a 32 calibre revolver
while in his sleeping room. The report
was heard by the family who
rushed to the room to find the husband
and father weltering in his blood.
Mr. Gluck who has been in the employ
of the C. G. W. in the shops had
given no intimation of his intention
to end his life, but it is evident that
he had contemplated the terrible act
from the fact that he made use of a
brand new revolver to send himself
into eternity. The revolver is a new
one, of the Smith & Wesson type, and
when Chief Chivington reached the
home soon after the suicide he found
the revolver which had fallen to the
floor still bearing the price mark—$6.
It was not learned where he had purchased
the weapon.
Mr. Gluck had been In poor health
for some time and Wednesday morning
had gone to a physician for some medicine.
Returning to the home he had
gone to his sleeping apartment, where
seated on the edge of the bed he placed
the muzzle of the revolver in his
mouth and fired the fatal shot. It is thought
that death followed instantly.

He left no note to anyone and it is thought
that in consequence of his illness he
became melancholy and concluded to end
it all. He is survived by his wife and children.
The coroner's inquest will take place
Thursday afternoon.
