Daniel Walrath, oldest son of Isaac and Catherine
Walrath, was born in Oneida county, New York,
June 13, 1839 and died October 20, 1925, at the
age of 86 years. He came to Arlington, Iowa with
his parents in January 1856 and resided here
continuously until his death. On February 6, 1862
he married Eliza Deming, who died October 22, 1884.
There were three sons born of this marriage, B. B.
Walrath of Arlington, W. G. Walrath of Oelwein and
Frank C. Walrath of DesMoines. In May 1895 he was
married to Mime Hoover, who died in August 1905.
Besides his three sons he is survived by a brother,
W. H. Walrath of Arlington and twelve grandchildren
and eight great grandchildren.
