Menila E. Howard was born Oct.
22, 1893, to Elizabeth and David
Howard in rural Fayette county
She attended Sacred Heart school
in Oelwein.
On June 29, 1915, Miss Howard
and Clarence Struckman were married.
They were the parents of
four children, three of whom survive
their mother. They are Mrs.
Hazel Heldt, Mrs. Rita Fettkether
and Mrs. Marian Thoma. Also surviving
is her husband.
Mrs. Struckman was active in
W.R.C., V.F.W. Auxiliary and Royal
Neighbors. She died July 19,
1961 and services were held from
Sacred Heart church with the
Rev. John Moran officiating. Burial
was in Woodlawn cemetery.
