Miss Tillie Kappes died at her home in this city
Monday at 9 am after having been ill health for a long
time. She was born and grew to womanhood in Lena
Illinois. About seven years ago, in company with her
parents she came to Oelwein where she has since
resided. Her occupation has been dressmaking. The
funeral occurs this afternoon at 2 o'clock, from the
home, Rev. J. T. Shreve officiating. She was a faithful
member of the Christian church, and fell asleep trusting
in a risen Lord. She was highly respected for her
kindly ways and genuine worth.
