Herman Bathke, age 84, passed away at
the home of his daughter Mrs. Frank
Cannon, near Oran, at five o'clock this
morning. He had suffered a stroke on
Sept. 20 and since then had been confined
to his bed. He leaves four children to
mourn his death: Mrs. Frank Cannon and
Herman Bathke of Oran and Mrs. William
Weatherbee and William Bathke of Oelwein.
Funeral services will be conducted
Monday at two o'clock from the Lutheran
church in Fairbank. Interment will be
made in Fairbank cemetery.
