ELLIS --- At his residence, Elkader, Iowa,
Sunday, July 27th, 1879, Joseph Ellis aged
sixty-five years.

Deceased was the father of Mrs. George Lickiss
of this place. He came from Ohio in 1856 and
settled in Winsor township, Fayette County,
where he rented a farm of A. Y. Whetmore for
three years. He removed to Clayton county in
1859 where he has since resided.
