OELWEIN - Monday, July 2 funeral services have been set for Francenia
M. Gosse. Mrs. Gosse, 70, died at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo, Wednesday
night, June 27.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. July 2 at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev.
Edward Zaiser officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at Brant-Kerns-
Jamision Funeral Home and for one hour before the services at the church
on Monday.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred Gosse, 120 6th ave. S.E.; one daughter,
Eleanor, Mrs. Dennis Moore, Oelwein; one son, John, Oelwein; eight grandchildren;
and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Mrs. Gosse had been a clerk at J. C. Penney for many years until her
retirement She was a member of Zion American Lutheran Church and had
been chairperson of the stewartship finance committee.
She was born Feb. 26, 1920 in Oak Park, Ill. the daughter of Wilbur and Eleanor
Radcliffe Finch. She was five when the family moved to Hazleton where she
graduated from the Hazleton school. She also attended Cook's Secretarial School
in Oelwein.
A memorial fund has been established.
