Alfred M. Borland, 64, 780 Logan
avenue, died at the family home last
evening after a lingering illness. He
had been in ill health for the past
three years.
Mr. Borland was a member of
I. O. O. F. lodge, No. 716, and of the
First Presbyterian church. He had
been a resident of Waterloo for about
16 years. For several years he had
operated a confectionary at 780 Logan
avenue.
Surviving besides his wife are two
sons and four brothers.
Funeral services will be at 1 p. rn
Monday in Kearns' chapel. Rev.
J. Paul Vincent, pastor of East Park
Presbyterian church, officiating.
Burial will be at West Union, Iowa.
