WATERLOO — Eleanor A. Rolf Holden, 69, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Dec. 26, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

She was born May 29, 1941, in Oelwein, daughter of Henry and Clara Webster Rolf. She married John L. Holden on Dec. 31, 1976, in Waterloo, and they later divorced.
Mrs. Holden received her licensed practical nurse degree from Hawkeye College. She worked as an LPN at Harmony House from 1981-83 and then at the Milvern Guest Home until 1990.
Survived by: her former husband of Waterloo; two daughters, Lynn (Brian) Rolf of Waterloo and June Cronan of Evansdale; a son, Mark (Amy) Williams of Reinbeck; three stepsons, James (Teresa) Holden of Waterloo, LeRoy Holden of Texas and Malvin Holden of Bethany, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Kellie Miller of Fayette; four grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Winifred Blum of Raymond.
Preceded in death by: a son, John Hofer; a granddaughter; and two brothers, Frank and James Rolf.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation from noon until services Thursday at the funeral home.
