Funeral services for George Dewey Robinson, age 88, Maynard, Iowa were held Saturday, March 12, at 11 a.m. at the Maynard Presbyterian Church in Maynard, Iowa with Rev. Margaret Strodtz officiating. Burial followed in the Long Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were by Kerns-Jamison Funeral Home in Maynard.

George Dewey Robinson was born October 31, 1899 at rural Westgate, Iowa to Cutler and Mary Jane (Ziegler) Robinson. On February 23, 1929 he was united in marriage to Alma Irene Sapp at Naperville, Illinois. Robinson farmed in the Westgate and Maynard areas until retiring in 1974. He was a member of Maynard Presbyterian Church and of the Farm Bureau.

George died Wednesday, March 9, 1988 at Sumner Community Hospital. Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers, and one sister.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, Alma, are one daughter, Mary Lee, Mrs. Carl Recker, of Oelwein, Iowa; son Donald Eugene Robinson, Dubuque, Iowa; seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one brother Alfred Robinson, Grinnell, Iowa.
