Eileen G. Troyer, 86, of Elgin, Iowa, died at her home on Wednesday evening, November 20, 2002 of a sudden illness. She was born January 17, 1916 in Elgin to Nathan and Grace (Boyer) Evans. She graduated from Elgin High School in 1934. She was united in marriage to Gustav Krueger in June of 1937. They made their home in Elgin. Gustav died in October of 1965. She married Virgil Troyer in July of 1967. They lived in Cudahy, Wisconsin until his death in May of 1985. At this time Eileen moved back to Elgin. She was a member of St.Paul's United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, at 2:00 p.m. November 23, 2002 at the St.Paul's United Methodist Church in Elgin, Iowa. Rev. Arley Ellingson officiated. Music was provided by Connie Ellis, organist, and Arden Greener, soloist. Pallbearers were Keith Hanson, Kenton Krueger, Joe Reierson, and Arden Greener. interment was in the Elgin City Cemetery, Elgin, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands and a brother, Kenneth Evans.

She is survived by her two daughters, Janette (Richard) Ketelsen, Clinton, Iowa and Jeanette (Jerry) Bradley, Anchorage, Alaska; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a sister, Louise (Art) Lantz, Elgin.
