MAYNARD (Special) —
Memorial services are planned
for Sunday for one of the first
organizers of the Maynard Co-op
and one-time manager of it.
William Ponsar, 92, of
Maynard died Thursday night at
Palmer Memorial Hospital.
Ponsar has donated his body to
science, so no funeral services or
visitation will be held. Burial will
be held at a later date in the West
Union cemetery.
Memorial services will be held
2 p.m. Sunday at the United
Presbyterian Church in
Maynard.
He is survived by his stepdaughter,
Mrs. William Alsip;
four grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren; a sister,
Mrs. Floyd Simpson of Maynard
and nieces and nephews.
He was resident of Maple Crest
Manor Nursing Home in Fayette
for six months.
