Donald Louis Mihm 1930 - 2010

Donald L. Mihm, 80, of St. Lucas, Iowa, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at the Palmer Lutheran Health Center in West Union after a long battle with cancer.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by the Rev. Marvin Salz on Monday, Nov. 1, at St. Luke Catholic Church in St. Lucas.

Burial was in the church cemetery. Casket bearers were Gary Mihm, Tom Kacher, Terry Armstrong, Lyle Dietzenbach, Bill Mihm, Don Koshatka, Bruce Wolfgram, and Vernon Dietzenbach.

Arrangements were handled by Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson.

Donald Louis Mihm was born June 4, 1930, in St. Lucas to William and Anna (Croatt) Mihm.

He attended St. Luke's Catholic School in St. Lucas.

On Sept. 22, 1952, Donald was united in marriage with Charlotte Armstrong at St. Luke Catholic Church in St. Lucas. Together they had two children.

Donald worked with livestock his whole life, buying and selling hogs and cattle.

He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and St. Luke Catholic Church in St. Lucas.

Preceding Donald in death were his parents; a brother, Marinus (Margaret) Mihm; and a sister, Bernadine (Al) Dietzenbach.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Mihm of Ft. Atkinson; a son, Roger (Sally) Mihm of Ft. Atkinson; a daughter, Ruth (Mark) Kuhn of Spillville; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Alfreda (Clet) Koshatka of Protivin and Alice Kacher of Fort Atkinson.
