Linda M. Dennler, 55, of Elgin, Iowa, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at Palmer Lutheran Health Center, West Union.

Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 1, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Elgin with the Rev. Rick Johnson officiating.

Burial was in the Elgin Cemetery, Elgin.

Arrangements were handled by Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Linda Marie Dennler was born Oct. 7, 1954, in Postville to Leo and Mary (Goodin) Dennler.

A 1972 graduate of Valley High School, she earned her Associate of Arts degree and CNA degree from Northeast Iowa Community College, Calmar.

Linda worked at Good Samaritan Society - West Union and the turkey processing plant in Postville. She most recently worked as the secretary at St. Paul's United Methodist Church and Illyria Community Church. She was also the evening answering service for the Elgin Vet Clinic.

Linda was a lifelong member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and was involved in many local committees and organizations.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two infant siblings.

Linda is survived by her brother, James Dennler.
