and departed this life at his home in Stanley,
March 13, 1928, at the age of 77 years, 9 months,

two years, but not confined to his home until two weeks
ago.
He was the son of John and Charlotte Ingamells. When
about two and a half years old he came to the United
States with his father, their first location was in the
state of New York where they lived about eleven years.
At the age of nineteen William came to Iowa and engaged
in teaming and farming, residing in Black Hawk, Grundy,
and Tama counties.
On July 21, 1877 he was united in marriage to Miss Agnes
Philip. In March, 1880 they moved to Buffalo township
where they resided until the spring of 1916 when they
moved to Stanley.
Besides his grief stricken wife he is survived by five sons,

Clare of Stanley; two small sons dying in infancy, and
Charley, ten years old. He is also mourned by four
brothers and two sisters.
William was a charter member of the K of P lodge and Pythian
Sisters of Aurora and also a member of Modern Woodmen of
America for the last 33 years.
The comforting songs, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere", "We are
going down the valley one by one", "There will be no night
there" were sung by Mrs. Donna Morgan, Myrtle Versisnius and
George Hill and Wayne Jewell.
Mrs. Mahoney and Miss Hill took charge of the flowers, Rev.
Heiserman preached the sermon. One grandson, Kelsy
Ingamells and five nephews, Joe, Earl and Fred Ingamells and
