Mrs. Paul Hill was found dead in her bed Tuesday morning (28 Mar 1899) apparently having expired in her sleep. She lived alone in the house adjoining Geo. Archer's and having been sick for a few days from gastritis, and had been cared for by Mr. and Mrs. Archer. Her funeral was held Wednesday, her only child H. W. Scott of Dubuque coming to preform the last sad duty. West Union Newspaper 6 Apr 1899.
