Final rites for Mrs. Sophie E. Tait,
75, 213 1/2 5th Ave. S.E., Oelwein,
will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in
Grace Methodist church with the
Rev. E. Morris Egeland officiating.
Mrs. Tait, a resident of Oelwein
for 61 years, died at Mercy hospital
in Oelwein Thursday afternoon.
She was a former pianist in the
Orpheum, Gem and Grand Theatres
here and was also employed
at National 5 and 10, Marsh Music
Store and Hartig Drug.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs.
Keith (Dorothy) Kelly, Sioux City, two
brothers, William Larsen, Boca-
Raton, Fla. and Fred Larsen,
Esthcrville and a sister, Mrs. Martha
French, Marion.
Also surviving are four grandchildren
and one great grandchild.
Body will lie in state at Brant
Funeral Home after Friday evening
Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
Mrs. Tait was born in St. Paul,
Minn, and was a member of Grace
Methodist church and Order of the
Eastern Star for which she was
chapter organist 30 years.
