HAZLETON — Funeral services for Winnie A. McLeish will be 1
p.m. Tuesday, May 15, at Floral Hills Chapel, 1093 Jackson, Hwy
150 S., Oeiwein. Burial will be in Maynard Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the
funeral chapel.
Mrs. McLeish. 86. died at her home Saturday, May 12, 2001, of
cancer.
She was born July 4, 1914. in Oelwein, one of the set of triplet
daughters of George W. and Hilma B. (Pearson) Rees. She married
Frank R. McLeish on Nov. 14. 1939, in Oelwein. Winnie was a
homemaker.
Survivors include four brothers. Harold "Red" Rees of Oelwein,
Bob Rees of Waterloo. Bill Rees of Garter, and Lester Rees of Des
Moines.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank, in
December 1993: two brothers. Daniel and Archie Rees; and three
sisters, her triplet sisters. Juanita Rees and Wilma Wade, and her
sister Elaine Oakes.
