McCarron funeral held
Maude Elizabeth McCarron was born March 5, 1899 at Albany and died May 26, 1976 at Palmer
Memorial Hospital after a year's failing health. She was the daughter of Henry S. and Margaret
Hamrick Nefzger. She attended school at Albany where she grew to womanhood. She was a telephone operator for many years at Fayette.
She was united in marriage to James A. McCarron on November 17, 1923. They remained in Fayette for some time, then went to Independence where they were employed at the Mental Hospital for nine years. At their retirement they came back to their home in Fayette.
Mr. McCarron died October 16, 1973. Survivors are two brothers, Floyd Nefzger of Brookfield, Illinois; Elmer Nefzger, one sister Essie, preceded her in death, one sister-in-law Pearl Nefzger and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 10:00 at St. Francis Church with Rev. Father Richard Kuhn conducting the service. Belles-Wright Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein.
