Louis T. Bouska, 69, of Waucoma, Iowa, died Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Woodbury Health Care Center in St. Paul, Minn., following a brief illness.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, July 26, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Waucoma. The Rev. Nick March officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery. Family members served as casket bearers.

Burnham-Wood Funeral Home, West Union, handled the arrangements.

Louis Theodore Bouska was born Sept. 3, 1940, in Waucoma to Louis Sr. and Lavon K. (Meyer) Bouska.

He graduated from New Hampton High School in 1958 and worked at a restaurant in New Hampton for several years.

In 1962, Louis began working for Union Pacific Railroad as a bridge tender. He retired in 2002.

Preceding him in death were his mother, Lavon Rosenbaum; and two brothers, Bernard and Gerald.

He is survived by a son, Brian Bouska of South St. Paul, Minn.; a daughter, Lou Ann (Todd) Burg of Newport, Minn.; his stepfather, Fred Rosenbaum of Waucoma; three grandchildren; and several cousins.
