DEATH OF INFANT SON.
Alvin Victor Hines, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Hines, 517 8th St. West, passed away Wednesday afternoon at about three o'clock, after an illness of live or six weeks. He was six months and seventeen days of age. Funeral Friday morning at ten o'clock at the house. Rev. Shaffer officiated. Burial in the Woodlawn cemetery.

ALVIN VICTOR HINES PASSED AWAY APRIL 11, 1917
Alvin Victor Hines was born on Sept. 25, 1916, at Oelwein, la., and passed away Wednesday, April 11, 1917, at 2 p. m., being 6 months and 17 days of age at the time of his death. He was taken sick March 9, 1917 and suffered an operation March 19. He leaves to mourn his loss, his loving mother, father, a little brother Dell DeWayne, his grandparents and other relatives. Suffer the children to come; My Father will welcome them home. "Of such is the kingdom of heaven”, said He. Suffer the Children to come. At 10 o'clock Friday morning, April 13th, 1913 at the residence of his parents at 8th St. West, in this city the funeral services were held, Dr. Frank P. Shaffer, pastor of Grace church conducted them, after which the burial was in Oakdale cemetery.
