George "Bill" Mullen

George W. "Bill" Mullen, 85, of Camanche, died Friday, June 30, 2000, at Mercy Medical Center in North Clinton.

Services were held Friday, July 7, at Camanche Chapel of Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be at Spencer at a later date.

George was born March 4, 1915, at Waucoma, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Mullen. He attended Waucoma Public School, graduating in 1932.

In 1980, he retired after more than 25 years as a millwright for Local No. 2158 in Moline, IL. He also had farmed in Northwest Iowa.

He married Mildred Rallie. He later married Lynn Rogness in 1972.

Survivors include his wife, Lynn; sons Larry of Cedar Rapids and Richard of Dana Point, Calif.; stepdaughters Aline Denney of Garden City, Kan., and Lyndel Marlatt; stepson Michael Rogness of Sparks, Nev.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Norma Beddow of Ruthven; and a brother, Robert Mullen of Emmetsburg.
