Brenda Sue Blasingame, 49, of Oelwein, Iowa, died Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Mercy Hospital of Franciscan Sisters, Oelwein.

She was born Oct. 26, 1960, in Douglas, Ala., the daughter of James and Ruby (Durham) Gamble. She married Gilbert Blasingame April 17, 1999, at Reno, Nev. He survives, along with a brother Stanley Gamble of Alabama.

There will be no visitation or service. Her body has been donated to the Mayo Clinic at Rochester, Minn., for medical research.
