Lila E. Loftsgard 1915-1999

Lila was born January 31, 1915 near Ossian, Iowa to Enoch and Anna Walvatne. She was raised and educated in the area attending rural school.

Lila was united in marriage to James Olson on October 24, 1939. Two daughters were born to this union. Together they resided near Postville, Iowa. James died in 1965. Lila married Lloyd Loftsgard. Together they resided at Clermont, Iowa. Lila continued to reside in Clermont after Lloyd's death. In 1987 she entered the Prairie Health Care Center in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.

Lila died after an extended illness on Saturday, June 12, 1999 at the Prairie Health Care Center. She was eighty-four years of age. Lila was a member of East Clermont Lutheran Church. She will be remembered as one who enjoyed quilting, sewing, and baking.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Lana (Brian) Bischoff of Weddington, North Carolina; two grandsons, Christopher and Jonathon Bischoff; and one sister, Blanche (Earl) Jacobsen of LeRoy, Minnesota.

Lila was preceded in death by her two husbands; one daughter, Sonja Olson in infancy; two sisters, Clarice Nelson and Irene Johansen; and her parents. Interment was in the East Clermont Lutheran Cemetery in Clermont, Iowa on Tuesday, June 16, 1999.
