Eileen (Roach) Bily, 78, of Brentwood, Calif., formerly of West Union, Iowa, died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010.

A private Celebration of Life service was held Saturday, March 27, in California. Inurnment was to follow.

Eileen (Roach) Bily was born May 12, 1931, in West Union. She was the 10th of 12 children born to Joseph and Julia Roach.

After her graduation from West Union High School, Eileen worked at Interstate Power Co. in West Union.

On July 28, 1952, she was united in marriage with Stan Bily of Spillville. The couple became the parents of six children. Eileen was a lifelong homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Stan, in March 2005; and eight siblings.

Eileen is survived by her six children, Don, Deb, Denise, Diana, Doreen and Doug, all of California; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Matthew "Mick" (Mary Ann) Roach of West Union; two sisters, Catherine Dessel of West Union and Elizabeth Ash of Elgin.
