CONSTANTINE, BAILEY

Mrs. James Constantine died at
the hospital in Iowa City last Wednesday
morning at 4 o'clock from
heart failure, resulting from an
operation for appendicitis, which
she submitted to two days previous.
The body was taken to St. Joseph,
Missouri, her former home, where
the funeral occurred Saturday. Interment
was in the cemetery at that
place.
Miss Nettie Bailey was born in
Missouri in 1877, and some years
ago she moved to Des Moines where
three and one-half years ago she
was united in marriage to James
Constantino. Three months ago
Mr. and Mrs. Constantine moved to
Oelwein where they opened a candy
kitchen in the new Phillips building
on South Frederick street Although
she had been a resident of
the city but a short time, she made
many friends by her sweet womanliness
and courteous ways, and her
unexpected death came as a shock
to our citizens. She left a mother,
two brothers, a sister, and her husband
to mourn her death. The
sympathy of many friends is extended
to Mr. Constantine in his sad
bereavement
