Funeral services for Wilma Floyd, 61, of Oelwein, were held Dec. 5, 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oelwein. Father James Goedken officiated. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hintz-Geilenfeld Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Wilma Irene Floyd, daughter of Herbert and Katherine (Handley) Rummel, was born October 11, 1929 in rural Stanley, IA. She died December 1, 1990 at 11 a.m. at Grandview Care Center after a lengthy illness.

She was a housewife and taught school in Cedar Rapids, Monona and Pocahontas. She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary; D.A.V. Carry On #17; Alzheimer's Support Group from the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home; 4th of July Committee; and C.C.C. (Cautious Calorie Counters).

On February 23, 1957 she married Milo Floyd at the Sacred Heart Church in Oelwein.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 grandson, Daniel Joseph.

Surviving is her husband, Milo Floyd of Oelwein; 2 daughters, Debbie Floyd, Garnavillo and Sharon Davidson, Holland, IA; a son, Bill Floyd, LeSueur, MN and 6 grandchildren.
