Clara Kinsel Burial July 7

Funeral services for Clara M. Kinsel, 86, were held Saturday, July 7, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville. The Rev. David Palm officiated. Burial was at the West Union cemetery. Burnham-Wood Funeral Home, West Union, was in charge of arrangements.

Clara M. Kinsel, the daughter of Lars and Lena (Nordhus) Paulson, was born March 10, 1898 at Clermont. She died July 4, 1984.

Clara attended school in Clermont and was baptized and confirmed at the Lutheran church there.

She was united in marriage to LaVern Kinsel June 10, 1922. They farmed in the Fayette County area and also had a blacksmith shop in West Union. After retirement they lived in Fayette.

LaVern and Clara both entered the Good Samaritan Center in Postville in December, 1973. He died in March, 1974.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two sisters.

Surviving are two brothers, William Paulson, Lamont and Alert Paulson, Yakima, WA; three sisters, Mrs. Mae Wetherbee, Postville, Mrs. Esther Griebenow, Clermont, and Mrs. Pearl Huegli, West Union; and several nieces and nephews.
