Service Held For Alma Ostlie

Funeral services were held Saturday at the West Clermont Lutheran Church for Alma Ostlie, who died at a nursing home in Fayette on Thursday of last week.

The Rev. John D. Kronlokken, pastor of the West Clermont Church, was in charge of the rites. Burial was at Clermont.

Alma Johanna Gunderson was born July 9, 1885 on a farm near Clermont. She was baptized and confirmed in the East Clermont Lutheran Church of which she was a member until the West Clermont Lutheran Church was organized. She was a charter member of this congregation.

She was united in marriage to Henry Ostlie who passed away February 8, 1946.

Her health began to fail in 1946 but she remained in her home until April of 1956, when she was cared for in a home at Fayette where she remained until her death. She became bedridden the following year and passed away August 22, 1958 at the age of 73 years, one month, and 19 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents Arnie and Annie Gunderson, and one brother Edwin.

She leaves to mourn: her adopted daughter Eunice Taylor, a sister Mrs. Tillie Swenson of Postville, and many other relatives and friends.
