Randolph "Randy" Reierson was born Jan. 27, 1919, in Gunder, Marion Township, to Louis and Alvina (Wold) Reierson.

He graduated from Clermont High School in 1938.

On Jan. 2, 1955, Randy was united in marriage with Virginia Fedeler at United Methodist Church in Hawkeye. Three children were born to this union.

Randy farmed his entire life in the Gunder and Elgin areas. In later years, he retired and moved to Elgin. He also worked for Farm Service Agency, climbing bins to measure sealed corn for many years.

Randy was a Township Trustee from 1991-2002, a Farm Bureau member from 1945-1995, and a lifetime member of Marion Lutheran Church in Gunder.

He enjoyed giving his grandchildren rides in his truck. When he wasn't busy on the farm, you could find him playing cards at the Quarry Lodge.

Randy seemed to always know where the mushrooms were. He was a longtime bowler and loved dancing with his favorite partner, Ginny.

He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends.
