MAYNARD — Carl August Albert
March, 76, son of Henry and
Bertha Bourka March, was born
July 7, 1892 at Oneida. He died
Friday, Nov. 8, 1968 at the Allen
Memorial hospital in Waterloo.
On Dec. 22, 1915 Carl March was
married to Lillie May Rupp at the
family farm home near Oelwein.
Two daughters and a son were
born; Mrs. Glenn Teague (Geneva)
of Fayette; Christine March of
Lamont. and Raymond March of
Maynard.
The March family farmed five
years near Oelwein, three years
near Earlville, and eight years
near Delhi, after which they returned
to their former farm near
Oelwein where they lived until retiring
about five years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie;
son, Raymond, Maynard; two
daughters, Mrs. Glenn Teague (Geneva),
Fayette; Christine March,
Lamont; three grandsons, Dean
Teague, David and Dennis March;
granddaughter Lois March; three
sisters, Emma March, Hawkeye;
Mrs. Freda Faust, Delaware, and
Nellie March of Delhi; and several
nieces and nephews
Carl March was preceded in
death by his parents, two brothers
and four sisters.
Funeral services were held at
the Hintz Funeral home in Oelwein
Monday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m.
with the Rev. Walter T. Martin of
Maynard officiating. '
Interment was in Floral Hills
Memorial Garden.
