FAYETTE—The body of Mrs.
Fern Hubbell was found in her
home here this morning, a bullet
wound through the head. It is believed
she had committed suicide
sometime during the night. She
had been in poor health for some
time and the suicide is attributed
to despondency. Mrs. Hubbell.
who was on private duty nursing,
had been unable to work last
night .
Born in 1895 as Fern Dunbar.
she was married here to Roger
(Bob) Hubbell, who died Mav 23,
1935. Surviving are three children
Roger of Milwaukee, Howard
with the army in France and
Helen. Mrs. Thomas Pritchard of
Waverly. Among other survivors
is a sister, Mrs. Floyd Coleman of
Oelwein.
