Tabitha P. Overeen, daughter
of Jacob and Susan Booker, was
born in Illinois on Oct. 9, 1864.
She passed away June 15, 1952, at
the age of 87 years.
She was united in marriage to
William Overeen May 13, 1886.
The couple had four sons and
three daughters.
Most of her life was spent in
Illinois, coming to Iowa in 1945
to live with, her daughters.
She leaves four sons: John of
Marathon, la.; Maucil, Vicksburg.
Miss.; Truman and Harry, Postville,
la; Her three daughters are
Mrs. Arlie Martin, Fairbank; Mrs
Alvin Miller, Maynard, and Mrs.
L. O. Stokes, Waterloo. There are
17 grandchildren, 18 great-grand-
children and one great-great
grandchild.
Early in life Mrs. Overeen
united with the Baptist church.
Funeral services were held at
the Brant Funeral home in Oelwein
Wednesday at 2 p. in. on
June 18, 1952. Officiating was the
Rev. Geo V. Butler, pastor of the
Fairbank Methodist church. Burial
was the at Fairbank cemetery.
