Merlin L. Stolfus, 63, 908 Third Avenue SW, Oelwein, died Sunday night, Nov. 9, at his home.

Services will be 10:30 a m Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rev. James Goedken will officiate. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call after 1 p m Tuesday at the Brant-Kerns-Jarmson Funeral Home, where a Knights of Columbus Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. and parish scripture service at 8 p. m.

Survivors are his wife Leah; two sons, Dennis of Oelwein and Joel of Freeport, Ill., and a daughter, Mrs. Dale (Patricia) Miller of Sidney; three grandchildren;
two brothers, Jack Stolfus of Mission, Texas, and Herbert Stolfus of New Hampton; and a sister, Mrs. Jay (Shirley) Turner of Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandchild.

A resident of Oelwein for most of his life, Mr. Stolfus was an insurance agent for Prudential and regional manager for Security Mutual Insurance Co, a member of Sacred Heart and a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
