Rites Pending For Mrs. John Hamrick
MAYNARD (Special) — Funeral services are pending for Mrs. John (Pearl) Hamrick, 76, who died at 1:30 a. m. today (Saturday) at Mercy hospital, Oelwein. She had been taken to the hospital for treatment Friday afternoon. Mrs. Hamrick is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Roy (Mae) Langley, Maynard, and Mrs. E. T (Bessie) Parker, Sioux City. Also two brothers; Jesse C. Palmer and Eugene L. Palmer, both of Waterloo. Her husband preceded her in death in March, 1954. The body lies in state at Delsing-Wright funeral home.

O B I T U A R Y-- MRS. JOHN HAMRICK
Pearl Adell Palmer, oldest child Ellen and Roy Palmer, was born Feb. 10, 1879 at Maynard and died Oct. 21, 1955, at Mercy hospital in Oelwein, after a short illness at the age of 70 years, seven months and 11 days. She graduated from Maynard high school with the class of 1897, then taught school for about three years. On July 6, 1904 she married John Hamrick of Fayette who preceded her in death March 24, 1954. She was an active member of the Cemetery Association and of the Methodist WSCS. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Earle Parker, (Bessie) of Sioux City and Mrs. Mae Langley of Maynard; two brothers, Jesse and Gene Palmer, both of Waterloo; nieces and nephews.
