Jack E. Dempsey, 74, of Oelwein, died Saturday, July 12, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, following a long illness; services 11 a.m. Thursday at Floral Hills Funeral Home, (319) 283-4922, with burial in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, both in rural Oelwein; visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.
