OELWEIN -- Charolette Jean Granberg, 67, of Oelwein, died Saturday, May 3, at Arlington Place, Oelwein, after a long illness.

She was born Aug. 31, 1940, in Oelwein,daughter of Wayne Michael and Wanda Lee Hines Stoner. She married Robert William Granberg, and they later divorced.

She graduated from Oelwein High School in 1958. She worked at the J.C. Penney Catalogue Department for 20 years and later at Goodwill Industries as a community trainer, retiring in 2003.

Survived by: two daughters, Jill (Tom) Kleppe of Harpers Ferry and Gwen (Larry) Lee of Brooklyn Center, Minn.; a son, Todd (JoDee) of Oelwein; six grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Petersen and Darlene (Ralph) Condon, both of Martelle; and a brother, Warner "Bud" (Linda) Stoner of Jesup. Preceded in death by: her parents; her stepfather, Wallace "Mike" Doty; a brother, Allen Stoner; and a grandson.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Baptist Church, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, both in Oelwein. Public visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
