OELWEIN - Tom Witte, 700 1st
S.W., died Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Allen
Memorial Hospital, Waterloo, after a
brief illness. Mr. Witte, 51, was an aide
at the Mental Health Institute, Independence.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m
Friday, Aug. 10, at First Baptist Church,
Oelwein. The Rev. Mark Riggins will
officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery,
Oelwein
Friends may call at Hintz-Geilenfeld
Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
Survivors include two brothers: Fred
of Independence; and Omar, Oelwein, two
sisters, Mrs. Paul (Dixie) Ehlers,
and Jenny Cushion, both of Maynard
He was preceded in death by his
parents, Fred and Belle Thomas Witte
and two sisters, Marcelia and Donna'
He was born in Oelwein Sept. 29, 1938
He was graduated from Oelwein High School.
