About ten days ago a stranger about
fifty years of age Stopped at the Fred
Swartz, home abont three miles north
west of Oelwein and asked to he permitted
to stay there and work for his
board and room. Mr. Swartz granted
his request. The man gave his
name as Ernest Mueller, and said he
was from California, having lived
there for twenty-five years. After
supper last night he complained of
not feeling well and before medical
aid could reach him he died. So far
as anyone knows he has no relatives and
he we be buried by the county this
afternoon. The coroner on learning the
facts decided an inquest would not be
necessary.
