Mary E. DeWolf was born July 10th, 1852 in Pennsylvania. Later she came to Iowa with her parents. In the year of 1877 she was united in marriage to Edward Watson, whose death occurred March 20, 1900.

To this union two son were born, Charles H. with whom she resided until her death, and Clyde, whose death occurred in 1907.

Mrs. Watson was 75 years, eight months and 24 days of age at the time of her death, April 3, 1926.

She had been in ill health for the past five years. Mrs. Watson has resided in Fayette county since coming to Iowa, making her home at Oelwein for the past 35 years. She is survived by on son, Charles, one grand-daughter, other relatives and many friends.

Relatives from out of town were Miss Lillian Culver, Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Tuttle and son Glen, Letcher, South Dakota, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Squires, Mr. and Mrs. Almond Squares, Mr. and Mr. Lang of Strawberry Point, Iowa.
