George L. Hillman, a most promising
Young man of Stanley, committed suicide
at his room at the Upper Iowa University
at Independence. His roommate
on going to the room was much surprised
to find the door bolted, An entrance
was forced and Mr. Hillman was
found lying on the floor with the jugular
vein severed by a razor, which was lying
near. He had made a remark in
the morning to the effect that he would
not live until night. It is supposed
that a recent attack of the grip had unbalanced
his mind.
