After an illness of several years, Mrs. J. A. Sherrill passed away at her home, 215 West Thirteenth Street, Friday morning at 8:25. She had been failing for several years and during the past few days her death had been expected.

Mrs. Sherrill had suffered from diabetes for some time and death came as a relief to the patient sufferer. All her children were at her bedside at the time of her death, except Mrs. G. E. Richards, who was detained at her home by sickness.

Trythena Louisa Manning was born at Brownsville, Canada, January 13, 1857. She was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to J. A. Sherrill, February 14, 1879 at Stanley, Iowa. To this union seven children were born ... Artemus Leland Sherrill, Humbolt; Mrs. G. E. Richards, Mrs. A. M. Stimson, Edith Mary Sherrill, Cyrus Marvin Sherrill, George Freeman Sherrill and Elmer Daniel Sherrill, of Waterloo. Besides she leaves two brothers, S. J. Manning and A. J. Manning, both of Stanley, and two sisters, Mrs. M. M. Elder and Mrs. G. S. Brownell of Stanley.

The funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the house. Rev. Frank Cole of the First M. E. church will officiate. The remains will be taken to Stanley on Monday, where services will be held from the Grace M. E. chruch at 10:00 o'clock and the burial will be made in the Otsego cemetery.
