Reference was made in Thursday's
Register of the demented condition of
Mrs. A. J. Johnson, residing in South
Oelwein. She was very violent Wednesday
night and up to Thursday
afternoon at about 2 o'clock when she
collapsed, and is in a very critical condition.
Sheriff Culver came down from West
Union Thursday afternoon with the
purpose of removing her to the State
Hospital at Independence, but her condition
is so feeble that it will be impossible
to move her for some time if
ever. She is in such a critical condition
that her recovery is extremely
doubtful.
