DIED.— Homer Clark, son of Mr.
aud Mrs. Ed Clark, died Saturday,
Aug. 13th, 1887, at Armordale,
Kansas.
Homer Franklin Clark was born
at the Clark farm near Oelwein,
March 22nd, 1866 and died at Armordale
Kan.,near Kansas City,
Saturday, August 13th. The deceased
went to Kansas the first of
March last, where he had been
working industriously as a carpenter
up to the time of his sickness,
which was of short duration brain
faver setting in wnich soon terminated
his career. His remains were
brought to Oelwein Monday under
the care of Mr. Quintrell, his friend,
who had been with him through his
sickness. On Tuesday funeral services
were held in the Baptist
church, conducted by Rev. Cheynoweth,
who by request of the
father preached from Job 14-14.
His remains, followed by a long
procession of mourning friends were
consigned to the family burial
ground in tho Otsego cemetery.
He was a young man of exemplary
babits, generous disposition, and
he had attached to himself many
warm friends who were sadly
shocked to hear of his death. He
leaves a large circle of relatives and
many sincere friends to mourn his loss.
