A resident of Oelwein for the
past 48 years, Mrs. Cora I, Baker.
81, this morning (Tuesday)
at 0:05 at Shepherd's Home.
She had suffered a stroke a few
weeks ago while visiting her son.
Vane, in Minneapolis and was admitted
to the Shepherd Home last
Thursday.
Funeral arrangements are pending
at Brant funeral home where the
body lies in state.
Mrs. Raker, who resided at 534
2nd Ave. N.W., is survived by her
son, three brothers, a twin sister
and a half sister. She was preceded
in death by her husband.
Arthur, in 1924 and a grandson.
Allan, in October, 1955.
She was the daughter of the
late John and Fanny Salisbury
Kirkpatrick and was born March
18, 1874.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cora
Baker 81, will be held Thursday
at 1 pm at Brant Funeral
Chapel, the Rev. C. R. Prichard
officiating. Burial will be in
the Fairbank cemetery.
Mrs. Baker died Tuesday at the
Shepherd Home.
She is survived by a son, Vane
Baker, Minneapolis, Minn. She was
preceded in death by her husband
Arthur; a grandson, Allan
Baker; three brothers, Frank,
Elmer and Will Kirkpatrick and a
twin sister, Mrs. Carrie Lyman
and two half sisters.
The body lies in state at Brant
Funeral home.
