Charles Reader Ellis was born in
the state of Pennsylvania, February 11,
1834; died at Ironton, Minnesota,
March 20, 1919, at the age of 85 years,
1 month, 9 days. He moved to Illinois
with his parents at the age of 13,
where he resided until the early fifties,
when he moved to Iowa, which has
since been his home. He was united
in marriage Septemebr 7, 1862, with
Electa H. Pulver, seven children being
born to this union. Six, children,
fifteen grandchildren, three great
grandchildren, two brothers and two
sisters and other relatives, are left, to
mourn his loss. Funeral services were
held from the home of D. A. Fox at 2
p. m. Sunday, March 23, Rev. Leisher
officiating.
