SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Walter
Scanlan, 81, of San Diego, a
former Oelwein resident, died
Thursday morning, Dee. 3 at a
San Diego hospital.
He was a retired emplove of
the U.S. Naval Hospital in San
Diego.
The body has been donated to
science.
Survivors include his wife
Minnie; one son, Tom, of San
Diego, several grandchildren;
and two sisters, Mrs. Kenneth
Bennett and Mrs. Wayne Rizer.
both of Oelwein. nieces and
nephews.
