At 1:20 Monday morning the Angel
of Death visited another Oelwein
family circle, Mrs. Johanna Fredricka
Bockholt Mrs. Bockholt has been sick
for the past few months.
Mrs. Bockholt was born March 27.
1837 and was therefore 70 years, 8
months. March 28; 1857 she was united
in marriage to Henry Bockholt.
To this happy union was born three
children, Mrs. Nettie Kraft, Henry
Bockholt. of Fairbank. and Mrs. F.
Lucas, of this city. Mrs. Bockholt
was taken sick last August and every
thing was done known to medical
skill, but it was of no avail. Mrs.
Bockholt's affiliations with the
Lutheran church were very close for
many years. She was a kind and loving
mother, a kind neighhor and was
liked by all who knew her.
Besides her chiliren she leaves to
mourn her loss two brothers, Albert
Bessmer, of California, and Micbeal
Bessmer, of Waverly. The funeral
will be held Wednesday morning at 10
o'clock at the Lutheran church, Rev.
Zimmerman officiating. The remains
will be taken to Fairbank where
English services will be held at the
cemetery. Sympathy is expressed to
the bereaved family in their hour of
bereavement.
