Almira Ransom was born in New
York April 13, 1822, was married in
1842 to John B. Pember of Panama,
N. Y. From there they moved to
Johnstown, Wisconsin, which was their
home for 25 years, afterwards coming
to Maynard and has since resided, here.
For the past four years Mr. and Mrs.
Pember have made their home with
their daughter. Mrs. W. S. Brown.
April 13. 1907. Mr. Pember died and
about two weeks ago Mrs. Pember fell
and fractured her hip and was hurt
internally. She died Sunday July
28, aged 85 years, 3 months and 15
days. Th« daughter, Mrs. W. S.
Brown, and two sons, R. R.. of Hecla,
S. D.. and J. N , of this place, with
many friends are left to mourn the loss
of the loving mother, the devoted
Friend. Funeral services we're held at
the home July 29th. and largely attended.
The floral offerings were very
beautiful, and the tired body was laid
at rest beside her husband in the cemetery here. The sympathy of many friends and neighbors is extended to the sorrowing family.
